DESCRIPTION:This tour forms part of a week-long joint Buddle At 250 celebration in partnership between The Common Room and The Lit & Phil. \nMeet us outside the Lit & Phil\, for a tour around the local area\, with commentary based on the innovative work of John Buddle\, his contemporaries and others associated with the Lit & Phil. Get the chance to see the Lit & Phil’s newly restored portrait of Buddle\, the work completed by Durham based conservator Angela McDowell. You will then be taken on a tour around the adjoining streets\, ending up in Hanover Square. \nBooking information \nEach person attending\, including adults accompanying children\, must have their own ticket.\nTickets are free\, but if you would like to make a small donation to support the charitable work of The Common Room\, it would be hugely appreciated. Likewise\, as an independent library\, The Lit & Phil welcomes donations.\nAttendees may also be interested in a Talk on Buddle’s Railways at 2pm the same day at The Common Room.
